About our Chapter

The Lawrence County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association was formed in 1989 when a small group of alumni and friends gathered to share their love of Penn State culture and pride. The group received their Charter from the Alumni Association in April of 1990, and has since been recognized fourteen times as a Group Of Distinction by the Penn State Alumni Association.

MISSION STATEMENT

To assist Lawrence County residents and students with continuing their higher education at Penn State and to provide a network of fellowship and activities among members of the Penn State Alumni and friends who reside in Lawrence County.

PHILANTHROPY

To achieve our Mission, we provide annual scholarship opportunities to area high school seniors.  When possible, we also support other student-based efforts such as THON.

Your donations or contributions to our fundraisers directly support Lawrence County natives.
